Meet the Ladies of the Tea Party PT 2

Sorry I've taken a while to update this thing, I had some issues to sort out but now it's back!

NAME: Andre Dumas
BLOG: The Horror Digest
AREAS OF EXPERTISE: If I can't choose everything- I guess I'll choose specifically foreign horror, campy 80s horror, Dario Argento, John Landis and ghost stories, oh! and Twatlight hate.

I am a 23 year old horror fanatic who has a deep obsession with my cat, Monkey. Currently I reside in Boston where I pretend to be a real person under the cover of my administrative assistant job title. I usually watch 2-3 horror movies a day and write blog posts immediately after. The Horror Digest combines the perfect amount of horror and sass. I talk about any and all kinds of horror and focus on the aspects of the movie that stay with the viewer the longest. It should also be said that I secretly love Jon & Kate plus 8 RIP : ( ,coca-cola, and eating. I loathe sharks, copy machines, and people that walk slowly. My blog has been in existence since July 23, 2009.
NAME: Aleata Illusion
BLOG: Gore Gore Dancer's Movie Reviews
AREAS OF EXPERTISE: Japanese, Italian, and Independent horror
My name is Aleata Illusion, I'm 23, and reside in the small town of Wooster,Ohio. I've been a horror movie fanatic my entire life. My undying love for the horror genre has always come more natural than breathing. I spend most of my time writing, directing, studying, and collecting movies. I run an independent movie group by the name of "Maggot Mosh Productions" and a horror movie review blog. I started GoreGore Dancer Movie Reviews on 7/8/09.

NAME: Heather Santrous
BLOG: Mermaid Heather
AREAS OF EXPERTISE: Killer Kids & Child Death
I'm 22 and fresh out of college. Ever since I took a chemistry class in high school, and discovered I was good at it, I have wanted to use it in forensic science. I don't know if this is an extension of my love for horror movies or not. I do watch some films from this view point at times. Six months out of college, I have managed to find a job in a forensics lab at last. This has made me cut back on my blog some, but I am sure I will find the time again once I get into the swing of things. I have always been big into swimming--I know that "mermaid" is a cheesy nickname, but I have been called that for a long time now. It is often said I am the happiest when in the water, so I'm told I should have been a mermaid in life. I also just started my 5th year blogging!

NAME: Emily Intravia
BLOG: The Deadly Doll's House of Horror Nonsense
AREAS OF EXPERTISE: Anything from the 1970s to the present, with a heavy emphasis in the pretty darn awful (but not necessarily exploitation) and pretty much anything involving villainous creatures under 5 foot tall (leprechauns, toys, kids, etc.)

The Deadly Doll's House is quiet and colorful little nook of cyberspace where films ranging from Deadtime Stories to Deadgirl get their chance to be reviewed and recommended for a rental, purchase, or burial in consecrated ground diligently guarded by Halloween III style security ‘bots sworn to protect innocent Netflix subscribers from experiencing the terror and suicidal inducing tremors I felt watching the It’s Alive remake. Lessons are learned (did you know Caucasian clowns are not classified as white? Thanks Fear of Clowns!) highs and lows measured, and a quick, usually spoiler-free (unless warned otherwise) plot is synopsized. Every Friday, she takes a quick field trip over to PopSyndicate.com to contribute a miscellaneous column on anything from real estate advice in the horror universe to how the PG13 rating has affected the genre. All this endless rambling is the result of 27 years and counting spent with zombies, demons, toxic waste infused arachnids, evil but angelic looking children, and of course, a diverse assortment of tiny knife-wielding homicidal dolls.

NAME: JENNIFER GOLDEN
BLOG: Zombies are Magic
AREAS OF EXPERTISE:
Zombies, which really scare the crap out of her

"Zombies are Magic" is a blog that is now 2 years old (but in all honesty, it has only been a pure Horror blog for about a year. Before that there were a lot of pictures of my cat.) I am a 35 year old horror fanatic! I have loved to be scared since I was a little girl, but it is only as an adult that I have let my horror freak flag fly. My fascination started with the slasher films I saw in my youth such as Friday the 13th, Halloween, and A Nightmare on Elm Street. In my early twenties I re-discovered the classic Universal Horror films and that sent my on the journey I am on today. I love all aspects of horror culture, including film, television, literature, and music. My horror heroes are HP Lovecraft, Richard Matheson, George A. Romero, Clive Barker, David Cronenberg, Mary Shelley, Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Shirley Jackson, Sam Raimi, Neil Gaiman, and Mr. Edgar Allan Poe. My Blog, however, is really about my journey to educate myself about all aspects of horror. So it is mostly thoughts and reviews about the good, bad, and the ugly of horror that is new to me. With an occasional cat picture.

WELCOME TO THE TEA PARTY OF THE DEAD

The Tea Party of the Dead *aka* TPOT D is going to be the coolest collection of female horror bloggers the internet has ever seen. The Ms. Horror Blogosphere competition brought a ton of us together, and rather than part our separate ways now that the competition is over; I am organizing a group (inspired and blessing given to us by the LoTT-D) to keep us horror chicks together. This group is going to showcase, collaborate, promote, and enjoy all the blogs of female horror writers across the globe. This will be ten tons of fun and I am proud to announce its start up. The women involved care deeply and passionately about what you do, and aren't afraid to show the world what they've got.
